Chicken Parmesan Calzone

Hey guys! Hopefully you all had a great weekend. Well here we are Monday again, in Chicago it is snowing again ugh snow! lol Well today’s recipe I am just going to be silly and have a little fun and make a cook Chicken Parmesan Calzone! This is a fun and simple recipe that you can tweak the cheeses on to make it YOUR style of chicken parmesan. This is a cool little baked dinner, or lunch that everyone in the whole family will fall in love with. Go ahead and thrown down and make this one. How to Make Chicken Parmesan Calzone Recipe

Total Time 45 minutes
Course Appetizer, Dinner
Cuisine American, Italian
Servings 4 Servings

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Refrigerated Pizza Dough
  • 6 Chicken Tenders Cooked and Chopped
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 3/4 Cup Pizza Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter Melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400˚F.
  • Roll out the pizza dough so it is roughly a 12″ circle.
  • Over half of the circle spread 1/2 Cup of the pizza sauce, leaving about a 1″ border around the edge. Top the sauce with 1 cup mozzarella, all of your chopped chicken and all of the parmesan cheese.
  • Fold the dough in half creating a half moon. Crimp the edges to seal shut.
  • Place onto your baking pan or pizza stone. Brush the top with the melted butter then slice 3 small slits in the top of the calzone. Place in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, top with remaining sauce, and cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • All to cool for about 5 minutes, slice and serve.
