What’s up everyone! Happy Monday! Today I am doing a burger that I really didn’t have a name for. It was just one of those burgers that when I was on the road wrestling and we would stop at those little truck stop diners to grab a late meal they would have on the menu. Literally everything you could think of thrown on to a single burger. So why not just call it the Truck Stop Burger lol. I mean friend ham, onion rings, eggs, cheese, bbq sauce.. you see where I am going with this one right lol. Anyway guys you need to give this burger a try. It will totally satisfy anyone’s appetite for a great tasting and super messy burger this one it EXACTLY what you are looking for. So go ahead and give this one a try. Truck Stop Burger Recipe

Total Time: 22 minutes

Yield: 4 Servings

Truck Stop Burger Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 8 Thick Cut Ham Slices
  • 6 Eggs, Divided
  • 4 Cheddar Cheese Slices
  • 4 Buns
  • 1 Large Onion, Sliced
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Hot Sauce
  • 1 Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • BBQ Sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Form the ground beef into 4 patties, salt and pepper. Grill to your desired temperature. Adding cheese when almost done cooking.
  2. While burgers are on the grill heat your oil to 375 degrees.
  3. In three shallow bowl, place flour in one. 2 eggs, milk and hot sauce in the second one. In the last place bread crumbs.
  4. Slice onions into rings. Drag onions through flour, egg mixture then bread crumbs. I go back through the egg and bread crumbs a second time.
  5. Place onions in oil and allow to fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oil and allow to drain.
  6. Fry eggs to desired temperature, I like mine over medium. Then fry up your ham.
  7. To build the burger put ham on top of the bottom bun, then onion ring, burger patty, fried egg and BBQ sauce. Close it up and eat up!!
