So almost every culture/cuisine has their layered casserole dish. I think the most famous one is Italian Lasagna. Well in Puerto Rican we have our own version of the layered casserole. Pastelón, this is one of the all time Puerto Rican favorites, layered much like Lasagna with meat and cheese. Unlike Lasagna though we don’t use noodles we use sweet plantains. Pastelón is an exceptionally great tasting hardy dinner that will fill you up. You don’t have to be Puerto Rican or well versed in Puerto Rican cuisine to love this one. Go ahead and give it a try and let me know what you think!

Así que casi cada cultura / cocina tiene su plato cazuela. Creo que la más famosa es la lasaña italiana. Bien en Puerto Rico tenemos nuestra propia versión de la cacerola en capas. Pastelón, este es uno de los favoritos puertorriqueños de todos los tiempos, en capas como Lasagna con carne y queso. A diferencia de Lasagna aunque no usamos fideos usamos plátanos dulces. Pastelón es una cena de gran sabor excepcional que te llenará. Usted no tiene que ser puertorriqueño o bien versado en la cocina puertorriqueña para amar a este. Vaya por delante y darle una oportunidad y hágamelo saber lo que piensa!

  4. 1 Cup Mozzarella, Shredded
  5. 1 Cup Swiss, Shredded
