Hey guys! Happy hump day!! We are half way there =) Even better than being half way done with the work week is… it’s Burger Time! Haha Yes, as you guys know love, no wait.. I LOVE my burgers if you follow my snapchat (ttrican06 btw lol) You will have seen I went to a burger joint for my special birthday lunch lol. Burgers are my total weakness. So this week I decided to go a little over the top and go a Candied Jalapeno Burger, I went ahead and whipped up some Chili mayo, grilled some pineapple and topped it with a little bacon for good measure lol. This is a burger with that perfect sweet and heat combination I know everyone will go totally crazy for. So go ahead bust this one out for your family or friends I know everyone will totally LOVE it. Candied Jalapeno Burger

Total Time: 1 hour

Yield: 4 Servings

Candied Jalapeno Burger

OMG this is an amazing burger you guys need to try this!

Ingredients

  • 4 Large Jalapenos
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1-3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 4 Pineapple Rings
  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 Slices Gouda Cheese
  • 8 Bacon Slices
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp. Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 4 Buns

Instructions

  1. Add the vinegar, sugar and garlic powder to a small saucepan over medium heat and whisk until the sugar dissolves. Allow the mixture to boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Then add in the peppers and stir with a wooden spoon, making sure all of the slices are submerged. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Remove the peppers with a slotted spoon and place them in a jar or a bowl. Continue to cook the liquid for another 5 minutes until it has reduced by half, then pour it over the jalapeños. Allow the peppers to cool completely.
  4. Mix the ground beef with the salt, pepper and minced garlic until combined. Form the burgers into 4 equal patties. Grill burgers to your desired temperature. At the same time grill your pineapple rings, about 5-6 minutes per side.
  5. Whisk together the mayo and chili sauce in a bowl until combined.
  6. Add the burgers to the bun and top it with the bacon, the pineapple and the candied jalapeños. Spread the sweet chili mayo on top of the bun and and serve
