Heat a pan/skillet and place ground beef into pan. Break up and brown the beef. Transfer cooked beef to a bowl and wipe the grease out of the pan.
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan, add in carrots and onions allowing to cook for about 5 minutes until they start to soften. Add in garlic for about another minute, then add mushrooms and cook for another couple of minutes. Add tomato paste mix everything together and cook one more minutes.
Add ground beef back in along with the crushed tomatoes and seasoning, mix until combined. Cover and allow to simmer for at least 30 minutes occasionally stirring.
