In a large pan/skillet heat 2 Tabp. of oil over a medium heat. Add in onions and cook for about 10 minutes until the onions start to brown. Add in the sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Reduce the heat and cook uncovered for another 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 400˚F. Roll out the pizza dough, brush lightly with olive oil and poke holes with a fork. Bake the dough for about 7 to 8 minutes until it starts to lightly brown.
Carefully remove dough from oven, top with onions, and cheeses. Place back in the oven and cook for another 10 to 12 minutes until cheese is melted.
