Texas Caviar

Hey guys! Happy Friday, hopefully everyone is having a good week and a fun weekend planned. We are getting our teeth cleaned.. YAY!! well and having friends over for some really fun cooking. In the mean time though here is a quick little salad/dip you guys can make for when you have friends over lol. Texas Caviar (also called Cowboy Caviar) is a quick and simple recipe, no cooking needed. I like mine with a little heat so add hot sauce but you don’t have to when you make it. So go ahead guys throw down and make this Texas Caviar Recipe! I know you will fall in love with it when you do. Texas Caviar Recipe

Ingredients

  

Dip:

• 1 15 oz. Can Black Beans, Drained and Rinsed
• 1 15 oz. Can Black Eyed Peas, Drained and Rinsed
• 1/2 Cup Corn Kernels
• 3 Green Onions Diced
• 1 Small Red Onion Diced
• 2 Bell Peppers Chopped
• 1 Jalapeño Seeded and Diced
• 1/2 Cup Cherry Tomatoes Sliced
• 1/2 Avocado Chopped
• 1/2 Cup Cilantro Chopped

Dressing:

• 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
• 1 Tbsp. Lime Zest
• Lime Juice of 1 Lime
• 1 tsp. Cumin
• 1 tsp. Honey
• 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
• 1/2 tsp. Paprika
• Salt

Instructions

 

• Mix together all of the salad ingredients in a large bowl.
• In a smaller bowl mix together all the ingredients for the dressing. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix everything together.
