North Carolina Stuffed Burger

When it came time to do a state burger one thing came up over and over. Barbecue Pork! So I figured why not just go over the top and make an awesome burger topped with a really good BBQ Pork and a great North Carolina BBQ Sauce. I had to put my own spin on it though to really put it over the top so I decided to stuff this bad boy with some Mac N’ Cheese! Than BAM!! The North Carolina Stuffed Burger was born. So go ahead and give this big bad mother a try!

  1. 2 lbs. Ground Beef
  2. 8 lbs. Pork Shoulder
  3. 1 Head of Garlic
  4. Apple Wood Chips
  5. Dill Pickle
  6. Mac N' cheese
Rub
  1. 1/4 Cup Paprika
  2. 3 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  3. 2 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
  4. 1 Tbsp. Chili Powder
  5. Salt
  6. Celery Salt
North Carolina BBQ Sauce
  1. 3 Cups Apple Cider
  2. 3/4 Cup Sugar
  3. 1/3 Cup Ketchup
  4. 1/4 Cup Honey
  5. Salt
  6. 2 Tbsp. Red Pepper
  7. Pepper
