Monte Cristo French Toast Rolls

Happy Saturday everyone. Which means it’s time for some French Toast of the week! This time we are going to have fun and mash up another recipe to make some Monte Cristo French Toast Rolls! Yup we are taking that awesome Monte Cristo sandwich and making a cool breakfast treat out of it. When I run across really great mash ups of different types of food I always have to try them. Some come out terrible, this one though was not one of the bad ones. This is one you will totally love. When you do make it be sure to take a pic and post it to my Facebook page!

Monte Cristo French Toast Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • 10 Bread Slices
  • 10 Ham Slices
  • 10 Swiss Cheese Slices
  • Dijo Mustard
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Cut the crust off of each slice of bread, then flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
  • Spread dijon on each flattened slice, add a slice of ham and Swiss cheese.
  • Roll up each slice and use tooth picks to hold the rolls together.
  • In shallow bowl whisk together egg, milk, cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Coat each roll in the mixture, then cook in pan/skillet until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
