First.. don’t laugh at me at the end of the video when I bite into the bone first not the meat lol. I was looking at the camera not the food.. d’oh! Anyway the wife and I have been in a ribs mood lately so have been craving ribs from out favorite place (FYI South Moon BBQ if you are in the Chicago area look them up they smoke their food over night.. mmmmmmmm) but haven’t been able to get there so several times we have just made our own lol. This time we made some Apple Butter Ribs! OMG super simple and they came out freaking AWESOME! I love playing with ribs can working with different rubs and sauces. Coming across great rib recipes is always a win. So go ahead guys give these a try, I know you will love them. When you do make them make sure to post a pic to my Facebook page!

Apple Butter Ribs Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Slabs of Ribs
  • 18 oz. BBQ Sauce
  • 16 oz. Apple Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. Paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Ground Mustard

Instructions
 

  • Set oven to broil
  • Spread or brush dijon over ribs.
  • Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, ground mustard, salt, pepper and brown sugar together in a small bowl and rub generously over ribs, completely coating them.
  • Broil for 5 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 300˚ bake ribs for 1 hour. Cover ribs in foil and bake for another hour.
  • While ribs bake in medium bowl, mix together BBQ sauce & apple butter until completely combined.
  • Remove ribs from foil and coat in the BBQ sauce mix. Bake for another 25-30 minutes.
