There are a couple of Puerto Rican recipes I am asked to make for friends and family all the time. Mofongo, arroz con gandules, rellenos de papas but I think the #1 thing I am always asked to make is Authentic Puerto Rican Pasteles. So boom here it is =)

- 1-1/2 lbs. Pork Shoulder, Cut in about 1/2 inch cubes
- 8 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Tbsp. Orengano
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/4 Cup Lime Juice
- 1/4 Cup Orange Juice
- 1 Cup Pimento Stuffed Olives, Sliced

- (optional) 1/2 Cup Raisins (I don't use them since my dad doesn't like Raisins)
- 2 Tbsp. Achiote Oil
- 2 lbs. Yautia, Peeled and Cubed
- 2 lbs. Green Bananas, Unripe, Peeled and Chunked
- 1 Large Plantain, Peeled and Chunked
- 6 Tbsp. Achiote Oil
- Salt
- 1/4 Cup Milk (if you need it to smooth the texture out more, I didn't use it in the video it does make it easier)
- Plantain Leaves
- Achiote Oil
