How to Make Takis Fuego Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients
  

  • 10 Jalapeños Halved and Seeded
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese Softened
  • 8 oz. Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • 1-1/2 Cups Buttermilk
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 15oz. Bag Takis Fuego
  • Garlic Salt
  • Paprika

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl combined the cream cheese, and cheddar cheese. Spoon the cheese mixture into each of the jalapeño halves evenly.
  • Pour buttermilk into one bowl and flour in a second bowl whisk together flour, garlic salt, and paprika. Dip each stuffed jalapeño into the buttermilk then into the flour mixture and place on a rack to allow to rest.
  • While they are resting start preheating your oil to 350˚F. Then add Takis into a food processor and pulse until it looks like panko bread crumbs and pour into a shallow bowl.
  • Dip rested jalapeños back into the buttermilk then into the takis crumsb to coat. Place in heated oil for about 2 minutes. Remove and serve.
