In large pan/skillet, break up and brown the Italian sausage. Add in the tomato sauce and red wine. Allow to simmer for about 15 minutes over a medium/low heat. Remove from heat and stir in seasoning.
In a small bowl mix together all of the butter ingredients.
Spread the butter equally across the inside of the rolls place and toast in the oven.
Once toasted, lay two pieces of mozzarella cheese in the rolls, top with sausage mixture, then top with the provolone cheese and place in the broiler until the cheese is melted.
Top with diced red onion and a little bit of basil and serve.
