  • 1 Onion Sliced
  • 1 Bell Pepper Sliced
  • 3 Egg Whites Beaten
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. Hoisin Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch Divided
  • 3 Tbsp. Ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 4 tsp. Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 2 tsp. Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

  • Slice steak into 1/4 inch thick strips.
  • In medium bowl add steak strips, egg whites and 1 tsp. cornstarch and mix until the steak is nicely coated. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • While the beef marinates, in a medium bowl whisk together; water, sugar, ketchup, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sweet chili sauce, apple cider vinegar and crushed red pepper.
  • Heat some oil in a pan/skillet. While it heats remove beef from marinade and toss in remaining cornstarch.
  • Fry sliced beef in heated oil until cooked all the way through. Once all of the beef is done remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In same pan sautee the onions and peppers. Once they soften add in minced garlic and allow to cook for about 1 minute until it is fragrant. Remove vegetables and set them aside with beef.
  • Add sauce and allow to cook for about 5 minutes to allow sauce to thicken up. Add beef and vegetables into sauce and toss so they are completely coated and allow to cook for a couple minutes.
