Jalapeno Avocado Wontons

Jalapeno Avocado Wontons

It’s super cool and tasty and EASY appetizer time! I am throwing together some great Jalapeno Avocado Wontons. I mean let’s be honest everyone LOVE something fried right? So that’s a plus right off the bat, and the Jalapeno and Avocado flavor together are simply amazing. I have made these a bunch of times, and they always get devoured. I ended up making over 30 this time around for a football party and the lasted less than 10 MINUTES!! Yup go ahead make these and put them out and watch how people just kill them ask for more.

Do you have a great appetizer I need to try? Hit me up and let me know what it is.

Total Time

Ingredients
  1. 8 oz. Cream Cheese, Room Temperature
  2. 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  3. 1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
  4. 1 Avocado
  5. 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  6. 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
  7. Salt
  8. 1 Tbsp. Cilantro, Disced
  9. 3 Jalapenos, Seeded and Diced
  10. 24 Wonton Wrappers
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, stir together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, avocado, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, cilantro and jalapeños.
  2. On a clean work surface, lay out a wonton wrapper so a corner is pointed towards you (making it look like a diamond).
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrappers with water. Add 1 tsp of the filling in the center of the wonton wrapper.
  4. Fold the wrapper in half, over the filling. Start by pressing around the filling gently and pressing out towards the edges to seal. You want to make sure there are no air pockets by the filling so it seals properly. Repeat with the remaining filling and wonton wrappers.
  5. Heat 2 to 3 inches of canola oil in a heavy-bottomed large pot. Once the oil reaches 375°F on an oil thermometer, fry the wontons in batches of 3 to 4 at a time.
  6. Fry until golden brown, approximately 1 minute per side. Remove to a paper towel lined plate to drain.

I have done it two ways when making ahead of time. I have made them and chilled them but did the frying right before serving. The other way is I made them, and re-heated by putting them on a tray in the oven. I wouldn’t go any higher than say 350 degrees for a short period. We do for just over 5 minutes.

Thanks for checking out the page and asking =)
