Beer Cheese Bacon Stuffing

It is time to start thinking about what you are going to have on this years Thanksgiving menu. Every year for Thanksgiving I make a mixture of classic recipes, but they every year I rotate in some really cool twists on those Thanksgiving classic recipes. This time I am visiting that awesome stuffing again. I have put out several different versions I have made before and these are always a hit. So here is the newest in those really cool stuffings… a Beer Cheese Bacon Stuffing Recipe. Boom! That’s right There is Beer.. Cheese.. AND BACON in stuffing!!!! I mean come on how could Thanksgiving get better? Well with Beer Cheese and Bacon lol. So go ahead and do like I do, make your classic stuffing and stuff your bird with it but then make a second one on the side for the family to marvel over =)

Wow.. Beer, Cheese, and Bacon!! All rolled into a Thanksgiving stuffing!

Ingredients
  1. 2 Tbsp. Butter
  2. 8 Bacon Slices, Crumbled
  3. 1 Onion, Diced
  4. 4 Celery Stalks, Chopped
  5. Salt
  6. Pepper
  7. 1/2 Cup Beer
  8. 10 Cups, French Bread, Cubed and Dried
  9. 1 Cup Sharp White Cheddar, Shredded
  10. 1 Tbsp. Thyme
  11. 2 Cups Chicken Broth
  12. 1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  13. 2 Eggs, Beaten
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425° and butter a 3-quart baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp, 5 to 7 minutes (reserve fat). Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Let cool, then chop.
  3. Add onion and celery to skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring often, until vegetables are soft, 6 to 8 minutes. Add beer and simmer, scraping up any brown bits, until almost evaporated, about 2 minutes. Add bread, 2/3 cup cheddar, thyme, and half the bacon and toss to combine.
  4. Add broth, Worcestershire, and eggs and toss to combine.
  5. Scatter with remaining cheddar and bacon. Cover skillet with foil and bake until a knife inserted in the center of the stuffing comes out warm, 55 minutes
